End of episode 21 Personality:
Hikaru is one half of a set of twins, and is rarely ever away from his twin, Kaorou. Although he is actually the older twin, Hikaru is more immature than Kaorou. Hikaru is emotional, petty, and possessive, but he does have a heart of gold. He has just always had a very sheltered life where there were two types of people in the world; Kaorou and him, and the rest of the world. Hikaru would like for more people to come into their small world, however both he and his brother believed for a long time that no one could, even if they would get upset when someone failed to. While they both will push people away, it is only because they are afraid of getting hurt with disappointment. It was not until recently that Hikaru has been opening up a bit. It was thanks to Tamaki having him and his brother join the Host club. Once they joined, they at least started talking to people besides each other, even if they never opened up to anyone else.Weapon:
Hikaru has always been a bit meaner than his brother. He will speak his mind with brutal honesty, and doesn’t seem to have a complete understanding of just how much he can hurt someone with his words. He is also a playful trickster, enjoying pranks and teasing people, but if he feels jealous of someone, his teasing quickly escalates into being right-out mean. He is also more of a leader than Kaorou, meaning that whenever the pair is together, Kaorou is more likely to be rude and to play tricks on people. Without Kaorou by his side, however, Hikaru can get a bit out of control.
Hikaru values his individuality a bit more than Kaorou, being the one to dye his hair in the manga, and the one to first claim that he does not want to be like his brother in the fake fight they have in the anime. Despite that, his brother is the most precious thing in the world to him, and he is practically lost without Kaorou. During the Halloween episode, he freaks out when he is separated from Kaorou even though he’s trapped with his crush, Haruhi. As soon as he gets out of the net, he rushes to find Kaorou, leaving Haruhi in the dust.

Hikaru woke from his nap on the mysterious train falling half out of his seat. He rubs his eyes and mutters, “Morning Kaorou.”
Then it hits him. There is no Kaorou.
Hikaru stands, suddenly alert and scared. He hadn’t remembered getting on the train, and more importantly, he didn’t remember leaving Karou anywhere. “Kaorou!” Hikaru shouts, looking around in a panic. “Kaorou!” Hikaru screamed as he ran down the train looking for his brother.
Only after checking every car and checking the platform did Hikaru stop looking, turning instead on the staff. How dare they. How. Dare. They. Hikaru walked up to Dolorosa, a fire in his eyes. He reaches to grab her shirt, his voice cracking as he screams, “Where is he? Kaorou! What did you do with him?”
He didn’t want to face all of this strangeness alone.
